Pet Corner: Small Terrier Found; Microchipping Your Pet
Les Archer, Animal Control Officer for New Hartford and Barkhamsted, emailed us to ask for our help in trying to locate the owners of a small terrier he rescued yesterday, March 5. Following is the information provided by Les:
“From the desk of BARKHAMSTED Animal Control:
A small terrier that was reportedly living under a deck of a Pleasant Valley resident has been captured. According to the resident, the dog had been staying under the deck for approximately 10 to 12 days. After being captured the dog was brought to Winsted Hospital for Animals where he received a examination and was found to be healthy. If you or anyone you know is missing a small terrier, please call Barkhamsted Animal Control at 860-309-7228 to identify and redeem. If no owner comes forward this dog will be available for adoption AFTER 03-19-10.”
