harry shearer

Harry Shearer has one of those faces that drives you crazy trying to think of where you’ve seen it before. That’s probably because you have seen it in a lot of different places. Harry Shearer is an actor, writer, director, musician, radio host, playwright, multi-media artist and record label owner. He released a new album, “Greed and Fear” on Monday.
Harry Shearer on ‘Good Day New York’

Harry Shearer this morning appeared on “Good Day New York,” gunning for another Grammy nomination, this time for his new album “Greed and Fear.” Check out the video of Harry Shearer on “Good Day New York,” and see how funny Harry Shearer is and how clueless one of the hosts is. If she were working for a loan company I’d head right out the door.

You can download 99-cent mp3s from “Greed and Fear” or buy the full-length album for $6.99 at Amazon. Harry Shearer says the album is about current events on Wall Street. Songs include “Bad Bank,” “Bonus Baby” and “Mr. Goldman and Mr. Sachs.”
Harry Shearer, man of many faces

I do believe the first time I ever saw Harry Shearer was in the feature-length mock rockumentary “This is Spinal Tap,” released n 1984. He played the bassist, Derek Smalls. Harry Shearer has a way of disappearing so completely into his characters that it’s hard to recognize him. That’s why people often are not sure how they recognize him.

He had a small part in the super popular film “Wayne’s World 2.” Remember the radio host, not-so-Handsome Dan? Harry Shearer’s parts are often like that; memorable, big characters but tiny parts. He has been acting for more than half a century. Harry Shearer’s musical collaboration with Christopher Guest that started in “This is Spinal Tap” continued in “A Mighty Wind.” He does several voices for “The Simpsons.”
Harry Shearer here, there and everywhere

Though Harry Shearer’s only recurring, on-screen roles were on “Laverne & Shirley” and “Saturday Night Live,” he has had guest spots on numerous, varied television shows. Just to name a few, he has been on “Dawson’s Creek,” “Just Shoot Me,” “Friends,” “ER,” “Miami Vice” and “Murphy Brown.”

Harry Shearer ha kept the payday cash advances coming in with small parts on films including “Edtv,” “The Truman Show” and “My Best Friend’s Wedding.” Find out more about Harry Shearer on IMDB, check out his new album “Greed and Fear” on Amazon and watch his interview on “Good Day New York.
