a young Army Sergeant suffering from TBI and PTSD, fighting to find a meaning in his life after being involved in the killing of Iraqi Civilians amidst war has decided to stand in politics now. Shannon Meehan will be standing for the state legislature from Pennsylvania.
The life after war can be difficult for a soldier as the normal life seems pretty incongruent with what they face. And the kind of post traumatic stress disorder Shannon Meehan must be facing would have been making things difficult for him.
But he believes that Politics remains the best vehicle right now to serve his country. Though Shannon Meehan’s political stand remains a bit unclear for now but with his heart in the right place he might just be a long term push in the political arena. It will be interesting to see how Shannon Meehan fairs in the long run.
