Super bowl 2010 kickoff time

This year, the Indianapolis Colts will be playing the New Orleans Saints at the Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida; primary coverage will begin at 6:00 PM EST, with the official Superbowl kickoff time set at 6:25. The game can be watched live on CBS; additionally, many online sites will have a live or real time, pirate stream of the game available for those wanting to watch the action from their computer.

Although Indianapolis is favored to win, New Orleans is ready to set a new precedent by capturing the championship title for the very first time in its history as a ball club.

Super Bowl Advertising

Many in the audience look forward to the iconic advertisements from companies like Coca-Cola, Anheuser Busch, and others nearly as much as they anticipate the game itself. And, with the rumor this year that teh search giant Google is going to run an ad, many of us are going to have to figure out another time to make it to the bathroom; there’s just too much action to miss.

Carrie Underwood will be singing the Star Spangled Banner; this year marks the third in a row that an American Idol contestant has performed the National Anthem prior to the Superbowl 2010 kickoff time.

Then there’s the much anticipated half-time performance with The Who. As a reminder, the last few performers during the Super Bowl have been Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Paul McCartney, Steve Tyler and Michael Jackson (not necessarily in that order). And who could possibly forget the wardrobe malfunction Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake had to deal with?

Indeed, the Super Bowl 2010 reflects all things, whether or good or bad, that define the American culture.
