jennifer daugherty

Jennifer Daugherty, MLS student Jennifer Daugherty recently was awarded a $4,000 stipend and travel expenses for an internship at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History Archives Center. Daugherty reported that the internship will focus on processing “approximately thirty cubic feet of archival records and some forty objects documenting the history of Nordic Ware, kitchenware products manufacturer, 1946-2006.” She noted that “these records will enhance the ability of the museum to ‘tell the story of post-World War II American entrepreneurship, technological innovation, consumer culture, and changing foodways.’” She will be responsible for processing the collection in its entirety with the supervision of professional archival staff members at the Museum.

Daugherty will graduate in August 2007 with a Master of Library Science and a specialization in Archives and Records Management
